Wakool Shire Details
The Shire is a small rural Local Government Authority. Located in the south western Riverina area of the State of New South Wales between the Murray and Murrumbidgee Rivers. Wakool Shire celebrates its 100 Years in establishment in 2006, details are available under the heading Historical Notes.
The location of the Shire in the south west Riverina, provides both extremes in seasonal conditions. Winter rain fall area with annual Falls of around 330mm (13 inches) and max summer Temps. of 40 degrees and winter 12 degrees.
